About me
- I am currently in my final year at the University of Manchester (UoM), majoring in Psychology (Hons). I rank within the top 1% of my cohort of over 400 people. My research interests are emotion regulation and social inequalities. I have gained extensive experience working in research labs and possess variety of skills, including participants recruitment, data collection, literature review, manuscripts preparation and presentations. My toolkit includes MPlus, SPSS, Qualtrics, Python, and Momentary Ecological Assessment.
- I am passionate about supporting underrepresented groups. I have been an active member of the Under-represented Student Perspective Panel at UoM for two years, and I devote my spare time to supporting the local LGBTQ+ community.
- I am set to graduate in 2024 and am currently seeking a PhD position starting from the fall of 2024.

25th November 2023: I am nominated as the Best Psychology Student of the Year 2023 at the University of Manchester.
12th July 2023: My abstract is accepted by a special issue, Women in Science: Pediatric Pain, on Frontiers in Pain Research. The paper will be submitted to this special issue in December.
22th June 2023: My abstract is accepted by the British Psychological Society Social Psychology Section Annual Conference 2023 as a poster.
25th May 2023: My paper with Dr. Anna Hood, “Psychological Wellbeing Predicts Quality of Life among Pakistani Caregivers of Children with Thalassemia,” has been preprint.
23rd May 2023: My abstract is accepted by European Paediatric Psychology Conference, 2023, to be held in Scotland, United Kingdom.
10th October 2022. I attended the 2022 17th Annual Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Conference and delivered an oral presentation: pain burden predicts executive function in paediatric patients with sickle cell disease in London, United Kingdom [abstract].
